Does anyone know anything of Whittier, California? I guess that is part of LA.Would be a place to live well?

I'm thinking of moving there from New Jersey Acupuncture to go to school and I have a 16 year old son. It would be a huge change for him since he grew up in Manhattan until two years ago and now live on the coast Jersey. My main concerns would he go to school, I work (I am a raw food chef and vegetarian). Any information would be great! Thankks

"Whittier, where the girls are prettier!" As mentioned above, there are some nice areas in Whittier, and some areas that are not so pretty. Total is a nice place to live. Whittier is an incorporated city, about 15 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. A few differences here: The climate is milder. You really have only two seasons: summer (early, mid and late), and one that people call winter, but not really because it never snows in Los Angeles. If you want "Stations", stay in Jersey. I say this because I've seen too many New Yorkers come here and complain about the lack of stations and more. You see sunset over the ocean, instead of increasing. Everything is so scattered. That's why everyone needs a car, and traffic is so bad. Nothing is centrally located, as it is in New York. Those are the main points. Good luck!
