I have studied nutrition and find that a raw diet is not the best way to go, why do so many people doing?
I have tons of friends who are in the diet of all raw food detox-whatever??? Why people think this is better when there is scientific evidence that some foods are actually more nutritious when cooked? What about legumes are to be eaten raw that too? What about potatoes? Someone please let me know.
People are always obsessed with getting some strange thing they read. There is always a guru or a seller who can convince the gullible that this or that is the answer to everything. The raw food stuck in it is easy to accept the "caveman" the logic that this diet is right for the natural state our body. As with anything else, it seems that moderation is the best way of doing things. It's fun to "change things" and sometimes eat a potato sweet raw (julliened and to complement a salad!). It seems that we jump on these "solutions" in an attempt to longevity. Well, we're all going to die someday, so I prefer to eat my dinner in the manner he knows best for me and enjoy my body while I can!
