Question on the raw food diet?
Hi gang, well, I'm new to raw food diet and very excited, not a lot of people around I do it so I do not know whom to ask my million questions until I thought of you … Ok, so you do not have to eat cold foods are correct only because premiums? I was told not use a microwave so I can heat my food? do i pop em 'in the oven to 100 degrees, but for how long? I frozen fruits to make sorbet? Thank u guys.
The cold does not always equal premiums. Some mixers will heat up food, which is useful if you are making a raw soup (but annoying if you're making a smoothie). Many raw foodists have a dehydrator, which uses a lower temperature than an oven. If you use your oven, get some kind of food thermometer so you can monitor the temperature. Try heating food in the sun. They absorb the solar energy wonderful. Use the thermometer, however, the sun heats the food can get well above 115 degrees. freezing fruit is fine, but remember that foods lose some enzymes from freezing. Do not let it stop you, as long as you eat plenty of fresh fruit too. Another tip: Yahoo Answers is not really the best place to ask questions about raw food. Try the forums or debates in goneraw.com giveittomeraw.com. You find more raw foodists and more information. Good luck their raw journey!
