raw food san francisco

If you're one of those people who love food, but feel that the food does not love you – just likes to hang out at the hips – may already have heard the raw food diet / lifestyle.

It is a move to a new way, easier to eat that is rapidly gaining momentum worldwide – After having been the method of choice of health in the exclusive European clinics at least the last 100 years.

In the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, even raw groups have emerged or rawluck share potluck meals regularly, and raw food gourmet restaurants seem to have appeared seconds in every corner in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Vancouver.

So what is a lifestyle of raw food all this?

The usual cliché answer is that people immediately think of any subsisting on carrots and celery, or they immediately think of the meat raw sushi. It always amazes me that many people seem to have little idea of what foods are really cooked before eating it – whether they are normally eaten hot or cold.

In essence, raw food is a food that has not been processed using heat above 115 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 43 degrees Celsius.

But the most important keys to a lifestyle of raw foods (usually also a vegan lifestyle, therefore rule out the raw meat, eggs, premiums etc) the exclusion of foods that are harmful to our health.

Cut the processed carbohydrates, fats, proteins, sugar

"Going Raw" is one of the best methods I've found for eliminating food groups from our diet healthier.

Many may think that a vegetarian or vegan diet is healthy cooked, but in many cases, people simply decide to remove the meat, or strict vegetarians eliminate dairy, eggs and sometimes honey … but they still eating healthily.

After all, is likely to go to your local and buy food to lead a vegan meal of fries and even a hamburger without meat, cheese or eggs in it. Of course vegetarians can make chips, coleslaw, and thickshakes more. Just no meat.

So to ensure a truly healthy diet that eliminates everything that medical science has been telling us many years can damage our health and welfare – and at the same time, add in the things that doctors and researchers have been telling us they are beneficial, such as fruits fresh, green leafy vegetables, whole grains (not processed) and natural sugars, raw – the raw approach, live food is the way forward.

The raw food meets all

Approaching a raw food diet with the objectives of the health and welfare increased, the delay of aging, increased energy levels and clarity of thought, to reduce or eliminate the disease will help to stay the course.

A well balanced diet of Raw include a wide variety of fruits, green leafy vegetables and other vegetables, usually green smoothie a day, often freshly made juices, sprouted and soaked nuts and seeds, and lots of other things. The creative minds have developed a lot of ways to make food taste a little raw and cooked their old favorites, often by using a dehydrator, so there are plenty of gourmet style recipes out there too.

The Internet and bookstores full of great resources for anyone wanting to explore what a raw food diet is. There are message boards and forums and sites such as free prescription and goneraw.com giveittomeraw.com an awesome resource providing support, information and delicious recipes from raw food.

Great also for the planet

Recent research shows that growth, transportation and processing of meat and animal products create a huge carbon footprint. A healthy lifestyle gives you a chance crude to minimize its impact on the planet (apart from becoming a much healthier) by the growth of most of their daily intake of food in your own backyard, or add your fruits and vegetables from local farmers markets and organic stores. The less processed a food is, the smaller the footprint, and is best for health – and the planet.

Start by searching Google raw food

Try and have a wide variety of resources at your fingertips to get you started. One recommendation though (take it from someone who has walked this way) – do not go raw overnight. All experts recommend a gradual transition, to minimize the effect on your body begins to eliminate toxins that have built up over the years.
