Why only when I get sick like mussels?
Several years ago I started to feel sick and vomit if I ate mussels and thought I had developed an allergy to them, and that no one ate me sick. What I wonder is whether this is actually a food allergy, and if so, why is this only w / mussels? I can eat all other seafood (and almost all seafood) without any problem, either raw or cooked. I feel good if I eat something that has touched or mussels cooked w / them, that is, the paella, but if you actually eat one then I can wait for an hour vomiting later. Wikipedia says that a mussel is essentially a clam w / a shell elongated, why is that I can "regulate" the clams and mussels do not?
He has a headache? It just might be food poisoning? Mussels are known to cause food poisoning and not because they are especially toxic, only that sometimes are ill-prepared and cooked. You have to let them sit in clean water for a day or two before cooking. This is due to shellfish mussels filter waste and sea water, let's be honest, no sewage in seawater. Letting them sit in water filters drinking water through of a mussel. It may be possible to be allergic to one type of seafood.
